Below you can find dates for all public national holidays for Ukraine:

Holidays 2012


  • 1st - New Year's Day
  • 2nd and 3rd January - Festive Days Off
  • 7th 8th 9th January - Orthadox Christian Christmas Days
  • 8th March - International Women's Day
  • 15th April and 16th April - Orthodox Christian Easter Sunday and Monday
  • 1st May and 2nd May - National Labour Days
  • 9th May - Victory Day (second world war)
  • 27th May - Kiev Day (Kiev Region Only)
  • 13th June - Orthodox Pentecost
  • 28th June - Constitution Day
  • 23rd August - Kharkov Day (Kharkov Region Only)
  • 24th August - Ukrainian Independence Day

Please note: All regions will have their own regional days, usually one day per year, occasionally it's celebrated over two days. For example; Kiev day is on the 30th and 31st of May and is celebrated in the Kiev region only, usually only in the city itself. Kharkov day falls on the 23rd August and is celebrated in Kharkov only. The date usually represents the day the city was officially founded.
